Nanjing Road and The Bund at Night!
Nanjing Road is the main shopping street in Shanghai. It has five-star hotels, restaurants, shopping malls, and office buildings. East Nanjing Road is pedestrian only, and it gets pretty crazy, whether it be day or night. I went down at night for the first time, and was dazzled by all the lights. I dodged scores of teenagers, avoided getting hit by the mini trollies clanging past, said "bu hau" to hawkers ("don't want!"), and laughed at the older generation participating in synchronized line dances. A dizzying experience! East Nanjing finally intersects with the Bund at the Huangpo River. The views of modern Pudong are phenomenal, and I had to jostle for a good position to snap some pictures. Here's a few shots from that night:
The last one gets me too :)
