It's a Miracle!

I was wandering through Pusan National University, and all of a sudden, I heard running footsteps behind me. I think, "Oh please don't be trying to get my attention." But my instincts were correct, the 5"2, 50 year old man with a gleeful smile was indeed shouting for my attention.

"It's a miracle!!" He shouts in my face.
I smile uncertainly. "I'm sorry?"
"It's a miracle!" He shouts again, now gesticulating wildly.
"Um...what's a miracle?" I ask.
He stares at me blankly for a few seconds. "I don't know!" He says, and thrusts a book into my face.

From what I could tell, it was like an old school primer, probably British, that included phrases like "It's a pleasure to see you," "Nice to meet you," "What a surprise to see you," and the infamous..."It's a miracle!" When taken in the correct context....no, it was still pretty strange, but dang funny.
